AVW-TELAV is pleased to announce our participation and sponsorship of the ECOS Project, an important new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program being launched in Canada, in partnership with the MPI Foundation and MPI Canada Chapters coast to coast.ECOS is a framework to support sustainability in communities based on the principles of People, Planet & Profit. Each MPI chapter will select a local community organization that will receive chapter support. The community group will be selected from one of the following sectors: Food, Water, Shelter and Education.
An AVW-TELAV liaison in each of our branches will be teaming up with the MPI chapter liaison in our effort to become more engaged in our communities. Since this is a national AVW-TELAV initiative, all employees, family, and friends will be participating in these worthwhile causes in MPI Chapter cities across Canada.
"AVW-TELAV is proud to be the sole sponsor of the ECOS Project. Being a socially responsible organization was a clear message that came out of our Employee Engagement Survey. This community effort aligns perfectly with the integrity of our brand, our environmental goals, our commitment to a national Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and our industry leadership role," said Heidi Welker, AVW-TELAV's Vice President of Marketing.
Stay tuned for coast to coast updates about the various community initiatives in our future issues of Meetings in Progress.
MPI Foundation Canada (MPIFC) and AVW-TELAV support the primary mandate of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) - the creation and delivery of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), thereby fulfilling its commitment to the UN Global Compact and its members and stakeholders.
