In the session titled Green AV: Technology + People = Opportunity Squared, Tarry will discuss the ways in which AV technology can be made more efficient in its own right through intelligent design; how it has the ability to make buildings operate more efficiently; and, perhaps most importantly, how the visual medium of AV can trigger behavioural change when used to educate, engage, and empower the people within that building. In another seminar titled Audio Visual Best Practices: The Program Phase (INFOCOMM), Tarry teams up with Timothy Cape, CTS-D, an independent consultant with 25 years experience in technology management, AV systems, and other related fields—also current chairman of INFOCOMM’s consultant’s council— to discuss the Needs Analysis (or “Program”) phase of the AV design process, and how critical it is to a successful project. INFOCOMM is the leading association promoting the audio visual industry. The session is based upon relevant chapters in INFOCOMM’s Audio Visual Best Practices, which Tarry contributed to and Cape subsequently authored.
