Special Event - AVW-TELAV scores a goal with the NHL

AVW-TELAV scored three times on their way to a hall of fame performance at this year's National Hockey League (NHL)All-Star Game in Dallas. The NHL had big goals in mind and knew they would be left shorthanded without their MVP audio visual supplier.

This year's All-Star game was held at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TX, from January 21 to 24. As part of the entertainment during the festivities, country music star Garth Brooks hosted an All-Star Benefit for the Garth Brooks Team Mates for Kids Foundation, which featured a performance by three-time Grammy Award-winner Trisha Yearwood, for 1500 invited guests.

AVW-TELAV supplied two 15x 20 screens with R12 Barco projectors and two cameras were used for image magnification. With Yearwood belting out tunes, we knew the sound system had to be impeccable, so we supplied a JBL Vertech Line Array Audio System for even sound distribution to the hundreds of fans. To illuminate the stage, we provided a standard lighting package along with moving lights, which could be brightened or dimmed depending on the effect that was required.

As soon as the Yearwood concert was over, the room was transformed into a Texas State Fair Pre-Game Party. To make the room transformation easier for the organizers, we made sure the audio visual equipment we provided would coincide with both events.

AVW-TELAV's Blue Machine tallied our second goal of the event, with the league's operations centers at different locations in Dallas where their employees could work comfortably. We provided 62 computers and 47 printers for their IT departments at four (4) different locations, including the American Airlines Arena, Renaissance Dallas, "W" Dallas Victory, and Regency Dallas, where we also hung drape to make their work space cozier.

To complete the hat trick, AVW-TELAV also provided (10) ten 42" plasmas and switching data equipment for a Board of Governors meeting at the Hyatt Regency Dallas; as well as LCD projectors, and screens for the five small (5) breakout rooms.

Providing all of these services in separate locations required a great deal of logistics management, but we shut out any problems and played mistake-free on our way to becoming the clients's first star.
