AREVA is a company offering technological solutions for nuclear power generation and distribution of electricity. With manufacturing facilities in over 40 countries and a sales network in over 100, they are an industry force.
Their annual Management Days meeting, held in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, drew over 300 of AREVA's executives, and was designed to share experiences and to increase knowledge of the group's operations and business strategy. French production company Europimage and AVW-TELAV joined to take their last meeting around the bend.
Europimage's set designer came up with an unusual concept: a room within a room - in fact, a kind of television studio, but with no sharp angles. The unique challenge for AVW-TELAV was in having to work with curved (concave) screens. Video was to be projected across three screens set on the stage side by side. The middle screen was relatively flat but still required electronic correction due to a bulkhead preventing typical perpendicular projection. The two outer screens were curved and had a wide 2.4:1 ratio. Additionally, the projection needed to maintain the integrity of high-resolution content while having to accommodate a very short projection distance of just under 12 feet (3.63m).

In order to overcome these challenges, AVW-TELAV's crew decided on careful use of a combination of high-end Folsom products. The Screen Shapers were used for geometrical correction of the curved screens and the Folsom BlendPro was used for stitching a seamless blend between projectors. The effect was one smooth, continuous wall of distortion-free video.
